I’ve been writing copy and creating magazines and newsletters for businesses and their customers for years and have lots of experience. For example, I’ve worked with BT, HSBC, LV=, RBS, NatWest, Mandarin Oriental Hotels Group and Regent International Hotels on websites, emails, letters, press releases, newsletters, magazines, guides – and just about everything in between.

While actively supporting my clients and their business objectives, my focus is always on their customers. Through engaging copy and messaging I turn my clients’ features into benefits for their customers. How are they feeling? What do they need to know? Why should they like or get this thing or service? Talk to them about their lawn, not our grass seed.

What can I write for you?

Mainly sales, marketing or customer communications. For ads, websites, magazines, newsletters, letters, emails, brochures, packaging, online videos and user guides.

It’s important to get the tone right when writing to customers. What you say needs to be clear, engaging and on brand. And it needs to be compelling, persuading them to do what you’d like them to do. Make them feel good about being a customer of yours. Persuade them to buy this. Or do that. Or even upgrade their service or product.

And then there’s the less glamorous but just as important side: service communications. Like, you need to pay your bill, update your payment method and other functional messaging. Getting the tone right in these messages is really important in keeping your customers happy and making them feel they made the right choice in choosing you.
